Polly Schulmeister, age 90, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished wife of the late Peter Schulmeister and the devoted mother of Michael, Jeff (Yipeng), and Felicia (Ted) Wong. Polly was the proud grandmother of Kayla, Mike, Liz, Ben, Nathaniel, and James, and the adoring great-grandmother of Sophie, Ellie, Rory, and Norah.
Polly lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for nature. Her passion for flower gardening was evident in the breathtaking tulips she cultivated, each bloom a testament to her skill and dedication. Alongside her beloved husband Peter, Polly embarked on countless adventures, with some of their fondest memories stemming from a family trip to Jamaica and a Caribbean cruise with friends, even if it was marked by the infamous incident of lost luggage.
With a heart as warm as her laughter, Polly endeared herself to all who knew her. Her infectious spirit and ready smile made her a cherished friend and confidante. Polly approached life with a sense of humor that never wavered, always ready to share a joke or brighten someone's day.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, located at 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, Michigan.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00am at the funeral home. Following the service, Polly will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Polly's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered as a beacon of joy in the lives of those she touched.
