Dorothy Ann Kurrie
Born 8-24-34 passed peacefully on 6-16-19. Dorothy was born in the city of Detroit where she enjoyed a career in reproductive medicine @ Wayne State University until her retirement. Dorothy loved history & traveled all over Europe, Canada & the U.S. She was passionate about her city & a very active member of her community. A devoted parishioner at St. Matthews church, a volunteer at the Literary Center, a loyal member of the Detroit Symphony, attending Tiger games when able & even working the CB patrol in her neighborhood. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity & sense of humor. Predeceased by her parents George & Mary Kurrie. She is survived by her sister Linda Knutson as well as many nieces & nephews. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
Dorothy will lie instate from 9:30 am to 10:00 am with Mass at 10:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Mathew Church, 6021 Whittier Street, Detroit. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
