Anthony Mroz

Anthony Mroz, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home in St.
Clair Shores surrounded by his family. Anthony was born Antoni Mróz on July 16, 1929 in Olyka,
Poland to Stanislaw and Józefa Mróz. He came to the United States in 1950 after WWII, and
lived in and near Detroit for the rest of his life. He married the love of his life, Josephine Mroz, in
1957, sharing true love for one another for over 64 years. Anthony was a proud and loving
husband, father, uncle and grandfather. Anthony enjoyed gardening, playing the accordion,
dancing with his Jozia, and spending time with his loved ones.

Surviving Anthony, his beloved wife, Josephine, and their children, Stanley (Chia) Mroz, Barbara
(John - deceased) Mroz-Perez, Teresa (Scott) Brisendine, and Renee (Jeff) Mroz-Carter; his
loving grandchildren, Megan Mroz, Ryan Mroz, Stephanie Brisendine, Jackson Carter, Jacob
Brisendine, and Nicholas Carter; his brothers and sisters include Gladys (Stanley - deceased)
Kulczycki, Mary (Dennis) Okray, Dyoniza Binkowski - deceased, Tadeusz “Ted” -deceased Mroz,
and Jan “John” - deceased (Helen) Mroz.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home on
Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 3-9 pm at 25800 Harper Avenue in St Clair Shores, Michigan,
with the Rosary being held at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 17, 2021 at 10:30
am at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21100 Madison St, in St Clair Shores, Michigan, with
Family & Friends visitation at 10:00 am until the time of the Mass Services. Interment will follow
at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 17100 Van Dyke Ave in Detroit, Michigan. Please join us to celebrate
Anthony’s life at the American Polish Cultural Center at 2975 E Maple Rd in Troy, Michigan to
follow
